According to a new report, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is scheduled to launch its 4G services on 1 March. As we already know that BSNL will launch 4G services across the country under its revival plan provided by the Cabinet last year. Now in a new update, the PSU has approached the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to release 4G spectrum to start offering 4G services from 1 March.

BSNL customers have been waiting for 4G services for more than five years and finally it is going to be true now. BSNL 4G is going to be able to enjoy fast data speed to customers. In most circles, BSNL is providing 2G and 3G services; It is even providing 4G data services using existing 3G spectrum.

In some circles, BSNL is providing 4G services using the already existing 3G spectrum, but the company is scheduled to launch its 4G network on 1 March. “BSNL has written to DoT asking the licensor to issue spectrum, as the government had earlier agreed to start. The launch of 4G services, the company, is an important milestone in its revival plan for those who want to stay in the competition.

The cabinet last year announced a revival package for BSNL, under which it will launch 4G services in all telecom circles where it is working. So BSNL 4G is going to be officially introduced in all 20 circles before it reaches Mumbai and Delhi circle. In addition, MTNL will also act as an assistant to BSNL at the end of the merger.

For those who do not yet know, BSNL is currently offering 4G in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat and some parts. The company is providing these services using high-end base transceiver stations (BTS). In the coming months, fully BSNL 4G services will be officially revealed in all 20 telecom circles.

Apart from this, BSNL is also likely to launch new 4G Only Plans for users after the service started on 1 March. That being said, it may be a temporary launch date and may vary from the actual DOT depending on the 4G spectrum release time.
